F.A.Q.

Q. Why?

I suppose that this is probably the most asked question. Why do you do these crazyprojects? Why would you build a jet engine? I guess if this question were asked to me again two or three years ago, I would have said, "because I can." But, now that
time has passed, this has grown into more than just a hobby, or for the fun of it. TurbineBuilder.com is now sponsored by several major brands who believe in ourprojects now and for the future. TurbineBuilder.com does demonstrations at fairs,
schools, air shows, festivals, colleges, and many other public events. We are committed to educating others in the world of gas turbines, and we always enjoy a
good challenge!

Q. What kind of tools do you have, and or use in building your jet engines and other toys?

When constructing any project, all sorts of tools are used. Most common tools usedare air tools, MIG welder, drill press, Mill, hand tools of all sorts, files, sanders, hammers, saws. Just about anything you would find at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Q. How much do you have invested in these projects?

Some very nice people have donated various items towards projects which helps in saving some, especially when experimenting :)  But, overall, I have thousands of hours invested (priceless) and if I had to guess, ~$5000.00 invested into project jet kart.

Q. What if I have any idea for a project and would like to see it out your site?

We are all ears! Send us an email of your idea and we will see if we can make it happen!
